The concept is great, I've been looking for something like this for a while now. The reason for the poor rating is due to the number of unhandled exceptions that were thrown and made the app unusable. I downloaded two different versions, I installed HTML Workshop and tried the .CHMs to no avail. I would have rated it lower but the idea itself is great. I hope to see improvements.

Great Idea ! This is really a cool project and usefull :) But I got some error on the bad nodes of Technet/MSDN. Could you share your code according to the Codeplex rules ? It will be a pleasure to improve your code. Best Regards, Mickey

Nice idea but there is still room for improvements. Still creating .chm files using the old "HTML HelpWorkshop" which works fine.

Great innovation and a nice idea. However, I tried to make a .CHM file for ISA2006 and its children, I am unable to do that. I see a prompt coming for a fraction of a second and disappear. Moreover, most of the Menu Links in TOOL, EDIT etc are greyed out. I can create small (1-2 page) files but cannot create a chm for ISA 2006. I cannot even load a selction XML.

I / we have used this application to help generate topical help files that we carry on our Thumb drives, this helps when we are onsite and can't access help, or for offline reading of up to date content while disconnected. Love it!

The application itself shows great promise, however it's implementation comes off as more of a showcase of the import process than a complete application. While it's fairly obvious the author has nailed down the communication with the MSDN Library, buggy and incomplete export options/results - including lack of styles for CHM export, leaves what this app does do well, practically pointless.
